Call Back is an alternative service to place and receive VoIP calls in case there is no fast internet connection or access numbers available in the specific country. This is effective for long distance or expensive calls, when calls from the called destination are cheaper. To prepare the callback service, caller details should be configured on the called party’s billing server. Authentication of the called party may be performed in the following ways:

  1. By the CallerID of the calling party
  2. By SMS
  3. Web call back

To trigger the callback service, caller should dial the access number (usually known as Direct Inbound Dialing (DID) and hang up on the second ringing tone. The destination system will call back to the caller within the next few seconds, if the authentication of the caller passed successfully.
